Hiding Veggies in Spaghetti Sauce

Remember when I pureed up a bunch of veggies? I'm finally starting to add them into recipes.

I added 1/2 cup of pureed carrots into the store-bought spaghetti sauce the other night...and it disappeared very well into the sauce. I noticed some orange specks in the sauce while I was eating, but I think I was over analyzing it. My son gobbled his noodles right up, so I feel a little better about getting some veggies into him.

The date on the pureed veggies is misleading. I label all my frozen food 3 months out, even though I know that frozen foods have their own storage chart, courtesy of the USDA. It just helps me us 'em up.
